For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 127 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 127 | http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=13979&id=130140737020875I linked pics of a 1959 Apache Long bed Step-side. I was hoping someone might recognize the fender emblems on the truck. My 16 yo daughter bought the truck in hopes of restoring it to a daily driver. When I search the vin it comes up as a 3200, but the emblems say 3100 right on them. Also I have not seen these emblems before and cannot find them in a parts catalog. I do realize that it could be as simple as the wrong fenders on the truck or someone swapped emblems, I was looking for info on perhaps why the emblems do not look like all the other Apache emblems. Just trying to build a history for this truck. Find some significance to the oddities which will add to the character of the truck . Any help is greatly appreciated. The '59s should look like a rocket instead of a jet plane. Very good chnace the fenders may have been swapped without the emblems switched over. The correct 3200 emblems are not being reproduced for any year, seems the 3100 versions are the only ones. even then, only the '55 and '57 versions, plus the '57 3124 (Cameo) have been repopped. I would suggest hunting the salvage yards. You don't say where in Indiana you are, but if you can get to the Marion Co. Fairgrounds this September, there is a rather large swapmeet there every year. Might be able to find them there.

One other question for now. Did the '59 have a hood emblem? Thank-you for clarifying that and sending the pics they were very helpfull.
