can anyone tell me if a 72 1/2ton rear end will fit in a 58 apache?

Not in all practically. You will have to cut all the brackets off & weld on spring perches. I'm not sure of the width's but the 72 has 5 lug wheels.

I've got a '72 1/2 ton rearend on my bench right now. The width is 64" from wheel mounting surface to surface. If it isn't the correct width, nothing else matters.
