Does anyone know where to locate parts for a 46 2-ton front axle? - king pin set, brake springs, ball joints, etc. I called all of the internet places for Art Deco Chevys and non of them could help.

Hy kbm, welcome, I think your kingpin kit is Moog 8336B, pin dimensions are 1.109" X 6.812", my brake book doesn't list spring kits back that far, but if you give me some dimensions, there are lots of springs from that far back still available, hope that helps.

I just miked one of the pins - 1.119" x roughly 6-5/16" long...I'll take your advice and check Moog in the meantime. Considering all of this I am prepared to turn and grind new pins....but I would prefer not to even thought it would be fun and I would have to buy more toys for the job.

Hy kbm, it sounds like you have the lighter front axle, but it also sounds like your pins are already .010" oversize. you may be able to find and oversize set, the Moog number for a standard set is 8343B. It is great that you have the ability to make your own. I did check Rock Auto and they still list the 8343B, hope that helps.
