Anything's possible if you have enough cash, I don't think there would be any structural issues in doing it,although it would be a matter of finding a suitable donor.
You couldn't use a sliding/tilting metal unit on account of room,but I'm sure you could use a sliding ragtop model,if you could find one with the right curvature to match the roof..

I totally agree, it's been a real help to me also.
For good info and access to parts(new or second hand) the 'bolt's second to none.
