Even if the settings are a little off, a .030" setting is greater than any I've seen for these engines. | | |

Exhaust will usually be set looser due to higher temps and actually the cooling of the valve comes from more time on valve seat. | | |

Performance cams should be set to the cam manufacturer's specifications-example; Howard M4F-.012 intake-.016-exhaust.
