Those title companies claim that what they do is 100% legal but check with the local DMV before forking out the money. They may not accept the shiny new title provided from an out of state source. In some deep south states, the state won't even issue titles for antique vehicles.
It still sounds like a hassle, though.
However, I'd also be concerned with the reconstructed-type titles. Check with your insurance company on those - they may balk at insuring it.
