| | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,254 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,254 | I was working on the 48 and it's rust. I tried using a razor blade then sand paper or a file. I cleaned it up and sprayed some primer. Looked good.
I am a experimenting but this looked good.
And extremely slow. I want to live a long time.

Eastwood rust encapsulator is a very good product I have used it many times and works well. As far as removing rust, I would always sand blast it, remove every last bit of it. If it comes down to it cut the rust out and weld a new piece of steel in. | | |
