Will civilian 41-46 doors, fenders and hoods fit on the military cabs? Thanks, I appreciate that info. I haven't looked at a army cab up close, so I have no idea how similar they are. I just stated looking for a 1942 truck. By the way, I haven't forgot about that 1940 rear axle. I've been covered up lately and haven't been able to pull it out yet.

The base color was post war Olive Drab in gloss. I like your truck. I couldn't hardly read the engine serial numbers. Is that a 228? I noticed a guy here in the Tucson area is selling a 1947 GMC truck like yours for $500. It is all complete but has no title, but seller will provice a bill of sale. Keep up the good work.

That's an awesome truck your rebuilding. I'm amazed at the talent you guys back east have at reconstructing a truck that has had rust damage. We are spoiled out here in the southwest, as far a rust being an issue on old trucks and cars. Nice truck. Awesome work.
