just bought a 216 1948 stock motor.cast iron pistons, 10/mm. spark plugs?is this normal? my truck is a 49.it had .040 alm. pistons..010.inserts on the rods. I know it was rebuit.but the new motor W_ the 10/mm plugs?is that normal for 1948?

Yes

The smaller spark plug was used throughout 1948; and, the change to the larger plug was made sometime in 1949.
