I have a 1956 Chevy 3600 and a line on a '63 305E V6 to put in it. The Ch*vy measures 30" between the frame rails in the engine compartment and my '64 1002 measures 23". Will a "V8 adapter" crossmember do the trick and mate up to the V6?? Or would I be looking at fabricating some sort of engine mount? Also, the 305E weighs in at about
800 lbs. Is putting that much wieght on the original front end gunna be a problem?? Oh yeah, please don't flame me for trying something that 95% of ya'all would consider a move backwards. :rolleyes: The 305E in my '64 runs like a top, purrs like a kitten and pulls like a friggin' ox.
