I have a 50 3/4 ton and am a firm believer in seat belts. I have bought 3 pairs of lap belts to install. I have searched the forums and can't find any good information on installation of the 2 point belts. There are several references to a "really good link" but unfortunately it is dead now.
Anyone have a copy of the info from the link or some ideas?

I installed 3 lap belts on my 50 3100

bolted them to the cab floor and ran behind the bench seat frame.

Juliano's sells superb quality belts along with the steel backing plates for floor mounting, so there is no chance of the bolt pulling through or out. They also come with instructions.

Thanks both of you for the help. I have the belts but those anchor plates Juliano's sell look like a good idea.

Keep in mind that the cab floor needs to be in excellent condition,otherwise in severe impact the bolts and plates can pull right through the floor. A better solution, I think, is a piece of 1/4 inch angle or plate steel welded between the frame channels to run the mounting bolts through.

From what I have seen most don't recommend bolting them to the frame. Something to do with the cab sliding off the frame in a crash and having yourself belted to the frame. Wouldn't be pretty.

Was concerned about the 4 bolts in the center of the cab floor.

The belts I used are from classic parts. If your a larger diameter fella you may want to look into the longer belt kits.
