I'm installing the radio in my '54. Does anyone know where I can buy noise suppressors, the condensers that install at the generator, coil and regulator. Don

Jim Carter lists them in his catalog.

Noise Supressors

When I put the radio in my truck on Truckernix's advice, I installed it without the noise suppressors, and found that there was no interference.

Sorry to Hijack the thread but I just installed my stock radio in my 59 and was going to ask the same question. Jim Carters does not show a suppresor or condensor for the 55 - 59 in the catalog. Are they the same as for the AD trucks or are they different due to them being 12V?
In the shop manual they use different numbers for each condensor. Is there a difference?

I supply JIM CARTER with the suppressors, they are the ones for the 55-59 also, these suppressors are rated at 50 volt/ .5 MF.
I'm afraid the supply may be drying up
Why did the use different part numbers? the leads where a tad different , one I have not been able to find is the one with the double lead goes on the fuse box, the ones I send JIM CARTER are a direct replacement type,for generator ,coil ,and voltage regulator. I can get them also with the same value but not with the original looks, I'm always on the look out for early electronic stuff , BILL
