if they fit your stud bolt pattern then they came from an old Chevy truck, although there was some years of Toyota truck that used the same pattern .... the original clips were riveted, welded wouldn't be from the factory, so maybe they're Toy wheels someone added clips to, in which case you should find a correct set wink

the cars had 5 lug wheels Bruce, and the front hubs interchange early car to truck, but if you've got 5 lug wheels on the back the rear end isn't original

all years of trucks had 15's and 16's - most years the 15's were the base equipment with 16's optional for slightly higher GVW .... if your wheels have 6 hub cap clips they're pre-55, after 55 they had 3 clips until 60

widen your search, any year truck will fit the lug pattern and up to 1960 have the hubcap clips, later 15's into the 70's also fit and you can add the clips

What was the last year that cars had 6-lug wheels? Standard 1948 car wheels were 16" and had 6 lugs (15" 6-lug car wheels where also available this year).

As Bill posted, during all Advance-Design years, 6-lug 15" wheels were available on 1/2 ton trucks; however, the 15" wheels were optional and the 16" wheels (6.00x16", for all years) were standard (at least on USA trucks: 1948 truck wheels and 1954 truck wheels).
