Unhook it from the carb. Remove the screw holding it in the trans. Pull up on the cable & it hooks to a little rod in the trans. Unhook it & hook up the new one. Thats the ornary part of it. The little rod is pulled back by a spring & its in a ungodly place. You may need a new grommet where it goes in the trans.
