In the Chevy 1941 shop manual it states you need a camshaft bearing removing & replacing tools. I am just tinkering with the motor, no plans to rebuild. Thanks James

The camshaft is quite straightforward to remove.
The camshaft BEARINGS are another matter. These are two different animals. Although R&R'ing the cam bearings isn't rocket science, it takes the proper drivers and a pretty good level of skill.
Cam bearing removal and installation usually follows a boil job at the local automotive machine shop...they do this chore all the time!

Do you now had compression problems or knocking noise? If no, then there is no reason to monkey with the camshaft. If you want to just give the camshaft a look, that can be done with out replaceing the bearings. So no special tools are required.
