I have a 1953 3100, updating to 292 saginaw 4 speed and open driveline,, I took out the 216 cross member,and am putting in the 54 cross member, do I line up the 2 holes on each side of the bottom of the cross member with the ones in the frame??? then just drill the 4 holes on the sides.. this is the cross member for mounting the bell housing,, any suggestions , I am trying to put it together so the shifter fits in the floor where it would of came from the factory,,, all help is welcome..
