The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Interiors seat interchange for 1959

recently finished derusting cleaning and painting seat area and gas tank area. i got a better condition tank in and went to put the seat in and found she a no fit.
stuggled to get the front bolts in but the rear is whacked out of shape . its like a parallelogram. the seat slider brackets are off by 1/2 inch.
this seats driver area is really toast anyway so i am thinking maybe i will find one in better shape- not necessarily a redone one but just better than mine and not bent out of shape.
so i am wondering what years/models will fit into a regular 1/2 ton.

55-59 pickup only, unless you do some modifications, then newish ones can work

i love that john muir saying - and your take on it.
i recently heard a scientist say something that echoed that muir saying in regards the huge chain of events happening as result of the oil in the gulf and gulf shore and land.

I have the rear bench seat out of a '80s era ford van in my 55 2nd. Fits like it was made to go in there. It also has built in seat/shoulder belts. It originally had a clamping system from the van. I just cut 2 pieces of angle iron and bolted the seat to the angle and the angle to the floor. Looks and works great and was FREE.
