I am looking for any info on the modifications to the steering column for my '65 4x4 Burb when I install a mid 80's front axle w/ disc brakes this week. Any info is appreciated. You can make nearly any steering column fit with a little fab work

I will start locating all of the brackets this week for the power steering, so any info for this application would help. Are you going with a lift? If so, How high? May want to think of going with a 2wheel drive steering box so you can go with a cross-over steering (tie-rod steers from the right side and helps a lot to eliminate bump-steer when 4-wheelin`  .

The old Burb has been in the family since new but has never been off-road, but your suggestion with the 2 wheel drive box will be used. The donor truck for the front end has a 4in. lift so I will probably go ahead and put the old Burb up in the air. Thanks again and have a good 4th. | | |
