Looking for info about changing the gear in my transmission that the speedometer cable attaches to. I'm trying to correct my speedometer reading. I remember seeing something about it on one of these forums but can't remember which. Any help? Thanks

Compare the odometer with the mile markers on the freeway. If say it is 2.2 when you go by a marker & you go about 3 miles & it is 2.5 you are showing about 10% fast. Take the gear out & get one with more teeth. The opposite if its loosing speed. This works great on most of the auto trans. They have large gears. With the manual trans. you don,t get a whole lot to work with. You may have to get a ratio adapter.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
