It wore out the 472, which was rebuilt once, and the 500 in it now has close to 100k on it. It's stock with the a/c compressor still mounted into the front of the intake manifold. That big booster will give you super brakes but one suggestion I have is to fab a really strong crossmember to tie the front of the frame rails together. Without one the power steering will flex the front of the left rail due to the weight of the engine and probably wider tires. The torque is amazing.

I've also got an early 80's 3/4 ton IFS scheduled to be narrowed and installed to relace the 1/2 ton straight axle during the buildup. Can you say "heavy hauler" for trailers. etc?

I'm putting a 500 Cadillac in a '54 GMC 1-ton. I'm using a GM 14-bolt rear and the IFS from a 70's 3/4-ton.
Cadillac motors seem like fun!
