The old truck was parked under a barn since 1974 and has a jam up stake body on it. Must have hauled some HEAVY loads in its day to have broken a spring. The chassis shows no damage otherwise.If only these old trucks could talk oh what stories they could tell!

Search this site using the search button at top right. There is heaps of info. Here are the specs for your springs- they are massive http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/chevyresto/4976.htmcheck new prices before you buy second hand, I was surprised ($65 per spring in NZ, although the fronts are a lot smaller). There is no problem getting the steel to make them. All standard stuff.
