Used, about $15. They are on EBay alot too. I don't think it's a must to be year specific, but I don't know what year span to tell you. Others here probably can.

My 62 has the advance low on the dist. shaft and are not a very popular item to reproduce. I'll know more about what's wrong with it when I break everything down and clean it up. I would think a nice, smooth, fluid motion would be ideal, but maybe not on these old engines...Is it supposed to be this way, or has every 235 I've ever seen had a vacuum leak? Opinions welcome. Jim | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | depends on just what ya mean Chet, when you momentarily 'goose' it, the vacuum advance moves the distributor, when you hold a steady higher RPM it stops moving, the advance has to do with acceleration not steady speed - no "nice, smooth, fluid" changes in vacuum when you "rev it"
