Greetings, Im new to this site but not to the older trucks. My main interest is 60-66 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. My most recent purchas was this 1966 GMC. http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/jj87/jon67427/18000%20Mile%2066%20GMC/

It was purchsed new in Miami Oklahoma. The new owner from Baxter Springs Ks died two years ago. He owned a repair shop on Route 66 in Baxter Springs. This truck was his baby, always kept inside. His son stated he didnt think it had ever been driven in the rain.Still has original paint but we did touch up the white on top of the bed where a camper shell was bolted down.

Options are dual GMC spotlights, hazard flasher,Automatic V6 305, PWR STG PWR Brakes.

Jon

Sounds pretty cool. Dig the low milers (check mine). I would like to view your album, but the link requires a password. Oh, and welcome aboard!

Sorry for the rookie mistake, its unlocked now. Also looks like I put this in the wrong section. Give me a few days. LOL.

Nice 66 Chevy! I think I helped make you pay for that one. I was bidding on it also. Thats an incredible truck ! Have any more low milers ?

Now that's an impressive collection! And that 4X is KILLER! All yours? Apparently, you've been at it awhile. I would like to see/read more about your finds.
Presently, I have three trucks, all of which are totally original. The blue '66, a 45M '65 burb, and a '62 C-20 patina special. NO room for any more.. for now.. but if I cleared some space...

Thanks OEM, yes Ive been collecting these for 20 plus years. I have 5 Suburbans of which 2 are 4x4s, one is a 2 wheel drive that when I bought it had 8400 miles, now has 12,000 , was an ambulence for a small town in Iowa. The 60 blue short bed, 21,000 miles original paint from cab forward, the black 59 is around 22,000 miles all original paint, the green 60 C30 498 miles, 62 short bed 14,000 miles, and a few more. Have about 25 trucks mostly low miles but some are rust free projects. Current project is a California 66 GMC Sub faded original paint. Will update with PS disc brakes 400 SB TH350 and wheels and call it done. They are more fun when you dont have to worry about scratches in the paint !! http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/jj87/jon67427/1966%20GMC/

These pictures are out of order but you get the idea.

You gotta have some secrets for locating these things. I too have been looking a long time, but rarely see anything like a C-30 with 498 miles?? How the...

No secrets OEM, just searching like you. That C30 while I believe the miles are correct is not near as nice as your 66. The owner passed away and it was sold to a used car dealer. So the story is sketchy on why the low miles. It was bought new for a John Deere dealership in New York ( its dark green with yellow lettering). Only story I got was he liked it so much he never drove it ? Doesn't make sense, but.... Still has all six original tires with the nubs on them, along with many details of originality. Paint is fare but should come back, owner had his name and phone number painted on the doors, sold the business and brush painted over the lettering. The pictures of it in Photobucket are what he sent me 2 years ago when I bought it. I still haven't touched it. It just sits but I do need to fix the brake wheel cylinders to be able to drive it. My Son is going to college so it may get sold.

Is that sweet '66 aqua burb in the lineup the 12,000 miler? If so, I need to see the inside cargo area paint. Got any photos? I might send you a PM offsite if you have time. Thanks
