G'day everyone,
Here's cheers from an Aussie Stovebolter. I brought home my Father-In-Laws Chev 1 ton flatbed yesterday. It has been parked in his open fronted shed for approx 37 years, and yep...... It ran when he parked it. wink
Plans are now to first clean the living #$%^ out of it as it sits, oil all threads possible and let soak before splitting it into Cab, Bed and Chassis. I will then Clean, Replace, Repair, Re-Chrome, Powder coat and paint everything before re-assembly. I want to see it restored to it's "orginal" state before I consider any drivetrain modifications to "modernize" it and make it a little more drivable on todays highways.
Any Aussie bolters have any advice???? ohwell
I believe that the back window is about the only thing missing (My wife broke it when she was young ( I can't find a calendar old enough to tell you when that was)with her head (Maybe THAT'S whats wrong???) dang
Cheers you blokes

Gotta love the '46 1 tons! Here's mine:

Not so much of a restoration project as it is, maintaining it and getting all of the final details in order. I bought it a couple of days ago, drove it over 100 miles home and I can't wait to learn everything there is about the old thing.
