That's not too bad. Mine had more rust than that. Keep taking pictures as you go so you can document the entire build. Are you going frame off?

same here my 59 has to have both of the rear of the cab corners done :)but nice part about going the rod route i dont have to have it 100% restored just rust free rusty front frame and axle were treated to a camero subframe and the rear axle i will be using comes from a 55 chevy car "better highway gears'

yes frame of . tumorrow the house gets taken of.
i want to put a v8 in with a 3 speed gearbox .
wath diff can i put in without any big changes . becurse i need vintage number plattes in germany . otherwise i do have to pay a lot of incurance . so it means no motor younger then 30 years no discbrakes .
but i would like to have i nice drive . becurse its gona be my daily driver

Do you see many classic American cars in Germany? Should be a head turner once its on the road.

there is a market for american cars . planty hotrods cadillacs pickups . but not so many 1959 apache 3200 longbed

so i took of the back fender . no rust just dirt .
