the 55 manual diagram will cover it, all the same .... bookmark Kieths site, find near everything you need

I think it was actually earlier the colors were settled ... the colors on the 55 diagram are the same as the 58/9, although on old wiring they're frequently pretty faded except where still wrapped

hard to see some of the detail.
for instance the ampmeter.
the speedo/assembly guage cluster is missing and iam replaceing it ....i am looking at a bunch of wires.
can you tell me where the main grounds are .
the key ignition ground
the dash grounds.
also i cant find the fuse assembly ?
its missing i guess- cause its not under the dash by the parking brake!

thanks for any pointers
paul
do i need fuses ?
i want to check all the grounds and am unsure where to look for them.
thanks

dash grounds are via the mounting of the metal parts to the metal dash, cinch'em down tight .... fuse panels were only installed [on the firewall where you could kick it with your left toe you should see a dotted 'knockout' in the cardboard pad] if there were more than one electric option, like heater, radio, wipers - on the schematic it's called 'accy junction block' or something and is dotted lines - those are available from most vendors and only adviseable if you do have the options, which still could be fused individually with inline fuse holders

the schematic is more readable if you save it to your computer and print it - if you have an image editor you can also save it, rotate it, and enlarge it, but printing it should fill a page same as in the manual, a magnifying glass helps wink

If you have photo storage on your computer you can transfer the image to there(right click on the image and it will have a "save this picture" link) and then you should be able to enlarge it in your photo album.

thanks for the suggestion. tryed that. apparently photo wizard is lacking.
eventually it'll be time to get another (hopefully simpler) more versatile tool.
