How hard is it to transfer my 4x4 running gear from my 62 chassis to my C20 1964. The 64 is complete but I want it to be a 4x4. Can i swope out the axels or do I have to do something different. thanks mark

I am doing something like that now. It is a 66 k10 chassis going under a 66 c10 suburban. Unless you REALLY know what you are doing with drivetrain(s), put the whole frame under it. While you are at it, steam clean it and soak it with semi gloss black. With air tools, I can strip a truck in 4 hours. Their is quite a bit of difference in the 2 and 4 wheel drive frames, even the motor mounts are different. If you get the front in wrong, it will drive like doo-doo.

I suppose i can deal with the motor mounts but as far as the frame I know there is a difference in the area that the bed sits on. how about putting a 64 cab on the 62 chassis. mark

Those frames are quite a bit more different than you think they are. Even the 64 cab will sit differently on that 62 frame. It can be done though.
