Have been lurking on the forums, where I got some questions answered & thought I should properly introduce myself.

I'm about 18 months into a complete rebuild of a '56 Chevy 3600 NAPCO. The truck started out like this:

Funny picture here - the Tahoe is still smiling, hasn't figured out it's about to be turned into a winter rat once the NAPCO is done:

Went down to a bare frame:

And started the slow climb back:

Current state:

If you are bored out of your mind, there are a ton of pictures on www.daveladue.com of the entire tear-down and rebuild.

Hope to be firing the fresh motor for the 1st time tomorrow nite.

Have a '55 on the way after this one is done, it's a 2wd shortbox. Looking forward to getting that one in the garage:

Will be posting a bunch more pictures in the next couple weeks on my website (www.daveladue.com)

Going to take a breather, get some fishing in then start on the '55 2WD shortbox this fall...

Wow! That's really cool. A very well documented restoration. Great job!

Thanks Jon.

Driving it around is almost as much fun as rebuilding it - it's like being in a parade 24 hours a day... All sorts of thumbs-up's and waves. Pretty cool stuff...

PS. Ol Green looks sharp.
