welcome to the shops webster - look around a bit and you'll find lots helpful here, especially in the tech tips section

plug the number in here and see if it agrees with what you have on the ground [or on the jackstands!], the number can't indicate anything else

If you follow the tech tips link at the top of the page and then look for identifying your truck you'll find the VIN Buster. It will then interpret your Chevy serial number.

Your truck is a '53 4400 made in Flint, its a Big Bolt not a 1-ton.

Thank u for the direction .Also on the passenger side firewall is USA 3553473 ? Could this of been a military truck ?

Stenciled on the firewall doesn't look like the former military trucks I've owned, but that means little. On mine its brass plates with numbers stamped in them. Mine spent time in the Navy maybe that one was in another server.
