just recieved my aftermarket heater motor,the catalog said some modifacation might be neccessary,the shaft was to big (dia) miced it out at 5/16, no prob, just drill the fan, oops, I didn't look close enough, the shaft collar was swedged on and it is now off of the fan.
Has anyone run into this?
gotta fix?

nevermind,just went out and looked again, didn't realize it was steel, welded it back on.

I got my motor just a few weeks ago from Carter, they offer 5/16 and 1/4 in. shafts. Mine didn't have the three mounting brackets to fasten it to the heater. I will need to cobble something together.
