any one know if the plastic thing in the steering column that the turn switch screws on to is interchangable with other years? i have a 66 c-30. it has a sig-stat that wasnt wired up at all, but id rather get the stock turn switch working. or if any one can post a link to a site that sells replacement parts i would appreciate it very much.

so this is what i have found so far: 1964 -66 IMPALA, 1964-66 CHEVY TRUCKS, 1964-65 CHEVY II NOVA, 1964-66 CORVETTE, 1964-66 CORVAIR. and autozone has the stock switch for 90 bucks.

You probably don't need to replace the whole assembly. Check it out and just replace the components that are defective. You can get the internal parts from the Truck Shop, Brothers, and Classic Industries. These are in So Cal, but others carry them as well.

Most of the replacement turn signal switchs are manufactured by Shee-Mar, Inc.. They have a web site and show SM185 as being the turn signal switch for a 59-60. Here's the link;
