I rebuilt mine and installed new brake hoses and was wondering if the copper washer is needed. The brake hose screws into the back of the wheel cylinder and it looks like the hose seals on the inside of the wheel cylinder. Is that copper washer needed?

The seal is were the flange on the hose fits up to the cylinder. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I will have to swing by the parts store and pick them up. Just to make sure I understand, I put the washer over the threads on the hose and screw the hose into the wheel cylinder. Asd the hose tightens it will squeeze the washer between the wheel cylinder and brake hose.
Thanks!!! | | |
