I checked everything fuel related and it doesn't look like it is a fuel problem. It is as if the car turns off. Ignition problem? Any thoughts? | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 | It would be worth changing the coil if you have a spare. Coils can get a fault where one of the wires inside breaks, but the two ends of the break only separate when the coil warms up and everything expands leaving you with no spark.

Have someone crank the engine, and see if a spark jumps to the head. If not, see if the points are opening and closing normally. The coil, and possibly the condenser can have temperature issues. A very narrow point gap can also close up as things heat up, but that one's a really rare problem. Jerry
