I got my pickup when I was in 6th grade. I started working on the engine with my father who is a mechanic. I spent about a week in the summer sandblasting the frame and painting it. Over the next six years me and my father slowly restored it from the ground up. We upgraded to a one ton rear end and bendix brakes as well as a full pressure 235. We Painted the pickup ourselves in my dad's shop with a red color that our local fire Department used on their trucks. With that me and my father and my best friend assembled the body and all the little pieces and got it roadworthy. I got it going just in time for the last half of my senior year and senior prom. There are still things I want to do and I am sure it will be an ongoing proccess but fun. My next project is my Dad's 1954 Chevy with Napco 4x4. Thanks for listening

Nice truck. I think it's cool you did it with your dad. Those are memories that will last forever. Great to hear it was ready for the prom too. Good luck on your dad's truck !
