Has anyone reconstructed the window frame on a 2nd series truck? Specifically the part that the window gasket goes on. If so, how did you do it? I have ideas but I want to make sure I'm not over thinking it.

From what I gather you're referring to what's known as the pinch weld.
I.E. The flange that the rubber seal lips over to retain the windshield.
Just be careful to replicate the correct size as if it's too large,the windshield fit will be too tight.(How much do you have to replace) any pics?
If you're welding,skip around to avoid excessive heat build up.
Make sure you make the area smooth to allow the gasket/seal to work correctly.

Squeeze, Jock's got what I meant. I didn't know it was a "pinch weld". Basically, I have areas at the top of the windshield where the gasket that holds the windshield in place goes. On my truck I need to fabricate the pinch weld in some places. At the top, there are holes in the sheet metal that I have to try and patch but there are angles around it I'm not quite sure how to replicate.

Doug, I used 'pinchweld' as a term to decribe two panels that are spot welded together to form a flange such as the windshield retaining 'lip'.
You could do worse than shoot Alan a PM.
He's gone through what you are and If memory serves me correctly he documented his work.
It sounds like a common problem with 2nd series trucks.
