I was real happy to get my new 235 installed in my 52 Chevy truck. I held up up my 3X1 edelbrock intake and it hit the shifter arms (3speed column). Anyone else had to deal with this and... what can I do?

lastly, have a factory dual exhaust (blue flame corvette) manifold and the long bolts that go through the intake came off. It appears they are welded/brazed on in a shallow recess. I was wondering if I should drill and tap through then JB weld in place?
