Does anyone have a picture or illustration of what the correct air cleaner for a '58 283 2-bbl looks like?

Could this also be correct or is this from a different year? It fits the rochester 2-jet.

that looks like the one for the 235, but it could be the one they used on the COE or other big truck if fits a 2 bbl

It's a larger diameter than the one for the 235. It could possibly be froma '56 passenger car 265-V8 with a two barrel. I thought it would look good on my truck in any case. I was hoping it would be correct for the year though.

the air cleaners were quite similar, car and truck alla way into the 60's, I'd say it's "period correct" grin

Old Gold, that filter you have matches the ones shown on '55-'59 265/283s in the reference books that I have. I think that the ones that red58 showed may be for mid '60's-early'70's, they match the ones i've seen on those year trucks.
