The outside diameters of each are close enough that that aspect shouldn't be a problem.
Back in the old days, the manufacturers commonly showed tube type and tubeless combos pictured together on the same axle in their catalogs. That was before radial tires became the norm in tubeless sizes. Today you can get radial tube type as well as tubeless, so maybe it's no different. The basic message in the catalog link is to not combine dissimilar tire construction on the same axle. Stu
