I have a 1953 GMC longbed (102-22) with a 3 speed torque tube tranny.
There is an additional short driveshaft/ball assembly that connects the yoke from the rear of the tranny to the torque tube on the axle.
Does anyone know where to get the gasket for the short driveshaft ball ??
The ball that is facing toward the tranny side (has a grease fitting) is a little bigger than the other ball gaskets which come with the typical u-joint gasket sets.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jay L.

I would call them and ask them if they have the seal. I would think if they have the drive shaft, they would have the seal also. 1 816 252 5857. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,300 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,300 | Look about midway down on this site. Bill modified the short shaft housing to accept a modern more reliable seal. Might be of interest to you. http://www.53gmc.com/39101.html | | |
