For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 7 | Hey guys, I am working on a customers 52 5 window and his latches have worn rotors on them. He doesn't really want to buy new assemblies, so I am trying to figure out a fix. I know on a lot of these type of latches they make a piece that clips on over the original rotor essentially giving you a new surface. Do these exist for our trucks, and if so, where exactly can I purchase a set of them?
If not, then how about welding buildup on the old rotor and grinding it back down to shape?
Any help is appreciated!

I think all the truck vendors like Jim Carter carry them. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 192 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 192 | classicparts.com check there as well "Door latch repair clip" | | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 7 | Thanks guys, that's what I needed... ordered today! | | |
