I have a 38 Chevy PU with a 350. Just got my gauges redone and back in the dash and have to start wiring. Got a Autowire kit with the car when purchased, so it's new in the box but bought back in 05. Are there any good instructions on how to wire the gauges and ingnition switch? Any suggestions on how to wire up the rest of the truck. I'm a novice at wiring so any help is appreciated.

You are asking a big question. Did anything come with the Autowire kit that might help...this could be written information or could be wire ID tags or color codes?

I would go to the Tech-Tips page here on the Stovebolt and read all the articles in the electrical section as a start. This may help give you a feel for some of the areas that have to be dealt with.

Sometimes it's handy to draw a small cartoon of the truck and all its gauges, charging system components, lamps, switches and any electrical accessory. If you include every component it will give you a floor plan of what needs to be wired to what.

With this plan you can address each item in small steps and the task isn't so overwhelming.

I would suggest finding a friend who is knowledgeable in automotive wiring and maybe searching out a 'How to' book.
