I have a seperate mounted coil. havent been able to reach tom and want to make sure I hook the external coil up correctly. I have the Hei wired up just want to make sure about the coil. The pink wire from the dizzy goes to the "BAT" or + side of the coil. The "hot" wire from the ignition switch also goes to this terminal (Tom supplies a "Y" connector to accomplish this). The black wire from the dizzy goes to the other terminal on the coil.
Be sure to gap your plugs for the HEI and also invest in some high quality HEI ignition wire. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 153 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 153 | Finally heard back from Tom. he was out of coils when I bought my HEI.
