the threads on my new oil pump are sae and my old oil pickup tube threads are pipe thread. am I missing something?

I tied to find an adapter but no luck so far.

it appears as though i have mixed up some parts. the new oil pump is correct for my motor (54 235). the oil pickup is from a parts donor motor. the oil pump in the donor is different.

i have to track down an oil pump pickup that is compatable with my pump.

54 3/4 ton
