Any idea on the weight distribution of the front and rear axle on these trucks? What is the Gross max weight the front axle should carry?

The front axle is rated at 3,500 pounds in '54 and I don't think any of the earlier ones are different, but didn't look them up.

Look at the bottom of the page at this link. What you will see is the answer to your question for two of the many models.

If you're truck isn't a '54 look up your specific truck the same way.
