Just bought new Heater knobs for my '62 with a Deluxe Heater. The knobs came with no metal inserts, so they don't fit the levers (looooooose) I tried to pull they ones out of the old ones and insert them into the new ones.... what a joke, destroyed all of them trying to get the darn things in. Any suggestions now? Shouldn't be this difficult!

Maybe time to call the vendor who sold you the knobs????
