looking for 1 ton front shocks, local parts store did not go back that far, classic has some in its catalog not clear if it is for 1/2 3/4 or 1ton anyone have any luck or idea for a source? something shocking would be nice thanks trying

In many years the 1/2-, 3/4-, and 1-ton used the same shock. But that information is worthless if yours isn't one of those years...

Plus, on the earlier trucks, 1 tons did not have rear shocks, or they were an option.

I bought mine from Jim Carters and 1 tons did not come with rear shocks, but I believe they were a dealer option. But to be honest, I think the rear springs on 1 tons are so stiff that shocks would have little effect.

If you have one of your old shocks,take it with you and tell them to match it up.They will be cheaper if you can find them local,and no shiping.

Pretty sure the '52 uses the same front shock on 1/2-, 3/4- and 1-ton. I don't have time to look it up right now...
