I have a 1953 6400 2 ton truck. I "think"
I have a 235 in her. But the casting number which is located on a machined pad between the distributor and starter has the following stamped on the pad " LEAI029985". The character after the A looks like a capital I. I have been to several sites that have casting numbers and I don't see anything remotely close to what I have.
Can anyone help me solve this?

Unfortunatly, the codes I have only cover up to 1 ton, so I can't really decode it too far for you. I can tell you that the L in the code does equate to 1953. I do know there is a site with the codes, but I do not know the site name.

The casting number is raised as it was cast as part of the process.
