ANY SUGGESTIONS ABOUT EITHER STAYING WITH BIAS PLY TIRES OR UPGRADING RIMS AT www.wheelvintique.com AND GOING WITH RADIAL TIRES?

CURRENTLY RUNNING:7.00 x 15 6-ply standard bias-ply Goodyears

IT SAYS ON TIRE CHART 3/4 TON 3600 7.50-17 8 LUG 6.5" CIRCLE
ON A 1 TON 3800 7.00-18 OR 7.50-18 8 LUG 4.56" CENTER

SHOULD I STAY WITH CURRENT TIRE SIZE OR GET LARGER?

THANKS!

Radial tires make a world of difference in drivablity, no doubt about that. Bias make it feel like your steering has more play in it than it actually does ( I dont need more than I have already!) My two cents worth.

I have been delighted with the change in driveability in my '40 since the change to radials.

I had 700x15 and went to 750R16 on Landcruiser rims on the back and 700R15 on the original rims on the front.

The rears are mud terrains , cause I need them where I go.

The truck steers easier and tracks straighter and has less rolling resistance (better mpg) smile

Get some popcorn as there are strong feelings on both sides... I'm a daily driver only vehicle, original rims with rubber as noted in signature, 45 K miles, no problems, highway speeds every day.
