Imhappy to go down the radial route , but what can i fit that will give ma the correct diameter and look , any ideas ???

| | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | You might check with Coker Tire or Denman. They would be the best bet to get a tire with the proper appearance and that will work right with your wheels. Don't forget to get new tubes for them.

The friction between the tube and the tire causes premature sidewall failure, especially if the tire is run at highway speeds. Tubeless tires have an extra layer of rubber inside that is essentially the same material as a tube, which is what causes the friction issue. I know that there are the so-called "radial tubes", but those are intended for tube type radial tires, which are not very common these days. I've been in the tire industry for almost 20 years, and have seen enough tire failures from tubes in tubeless tires to warn against it at least on highway use tires.
