You have not stated your build theme, so it is difficult to know what problems you will run into.
If you are going to use an IFS, the steering can be fabricated to miss the exaust. If you are using a stock axle, the engine can be offset or the steering can be offset. Either way, this swap has been done many times. My first engine swap was in one of these truck; that was almost 40 years ago. I offset the steering at the time.
Do some searches and you will come up with lots of good ideas. | | |

We used the front disk brake kit from CPP and a rear end out of a late model Camaro, w/ disc brakes.

A big HEI dist. might not fit. Also, the 350 sits lower than the old straight six, so the fan would end up too low in relation to the radiator. You will probably have to use an electric fan (or 2 if you have hot summers). Look for at least 4,000 cfm. | | |

Stock they all have a crossmember at the bellhousing that also strengthens the frame where the rear spring mounts hit. Up to '53 then have an additional crossmember that is probably not quite in the right place to mount the tranny.
